Bosque del Cabo

Bosque del Cabo is located on the southern tip of the Osa Peninsula on Costa Rica’s lush South Pacific Coast.  With a 500-acre private rainforest reserve, ocean views and nice bungalows, Bosque del Cabo is an upscale rainforest wilderness lodge.  Hiking trails go in the rainforest and down to isolated beaches.  Hundreds of bird, plant and animal species are all around, and Corcovado National Park is nearby.  While not cheap, Bosque del Cabo is an interesting and beautiful place for nature enthusiasts.  All meals are included at Bosque del Cabo.

Classic Cabinas

Bosque del Cabo’s cabinas are very nice bungalows with thatch roofs.  Each is unique with plenty of hardwoods and ocean breezes.  All have 2 double beds, indoor bathroom, outdoor garden shower, screened windows and fans. You can swing in the hammock or sit back in easy chairs on the porches which have stellar views of the ocean.

Deluxe Cabinas

The seven Deluxe Cabinas are larger than the Standard Cabinas, have one king bed, a larger garden shower area, larger bathroom with dressing area and a wrap around porch which drops down to an observation deck. Each Deluxe Cabina is unique and has either hardwood or thatch roofing with stucco or and tile construction. Three with lofts have an extra double and twin bed in the loft area. Two Cabinas have an additional bathtub in the garden shower area.
Garden Cabinas
Two Garden Cabinas are isolated and guests must either hike on part of the Golfo Dulce trail or cross a suspension bridge to reach the main lodge. With queen size bed, indoor bathroom, outdoor garden shower, mosquito nets, hammocks, a rocking chair and solar powered electricity, these rooms are open on three sides to the surrounding rainforest. For more privacy, tarps can be lowered on the open sides.
Casa Teca

Casa Teca is also located away from the main building in the five acres of gardens. Two bedrooms, one bathroom, kitchen and large porch/living room area are perfect for families who want more privacy and direct interaction with the rainforest and its inhabitants.

Casa Blanca

Casa Blanca has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, full kitchen, living room, wrap around porch and step down sundeck. The bedrooms are separated; one with a king bed, the other with two queen beds. Positioned away from other rooms and the restaurant, there is a greater sense of privacy. Guests must give advance notice to dine at the restaurant. The highlight of Casa Blance is the views!

Casa Miramar

Casa Miramar is well away from it all, perched on a hill and consisting of three small, round houses linked together. Casa Miramar offers 3 bedrooms (2 bedrooms with 1 queen sized bed and 1 twin daybed, and 1 bedroom with 2 double beds), 2 full bathrooms, fantastic outdoor garden showers, large living room/kitchen area, fully-equipped kitchen, observation deck, many porches and a small private pool. Guests must give advance notice to dine at the restaurant.

Vista Mar

Vista Mar is located under the lodge owner's private office with separate entrance. Vista Mar has a bedroom with a king bed (and mosquito net), indoor bathroom, and outdoor garden shower with an outdoor bathtub. There are sliding doors, screen doors and screened windows, as well as a small outdoor deck with rocking chair, hammock and a great ocean view.

Casa Coco

Located about a mile from the main buildings, Casa Coco is a two bedroom, two bathroom house with full kitchen. The wrap around deck has a dining table, hammock and rocking chairs. Bedrooms each have one king bed; bathrooms both have a bathtub and shower. One bathroom has an open tower enclosing the bathtub and shower. There is a private beach trail as well as a trail to the main resort; however, guests will want the convenience of a rental car while staying here.
Rainforest and Wildlife

Bosque del Cabo’s private rainforest reserve is a lush tropical rainforest with hundreds of bird species and a huge variety and plant and animal life.  You can walk by yourself or enjoy a guided hike.  Guided tours of Corcovado National Park are also available.  This entire area is incredibly biologically rich.

Swimming Pool

The small kidney shaped pool at Bosque del Cabo was designed to be eco-friendly. Its unique filtration system uses ionization and solar power to reduce the need for harsh chemicals. The bar is steps away from the pool deck with lounge chairs and umbrellas. The pool is also surrounded by trees and vegetation for additional shade if needed.

Restaurant and Bar

The open air restaurant offers breakfast and lunch buffets. Dinners can be served buffet style or with a choice of entrées. American, Costa Rican and International cuisines are served. Candle light dinners are an intimate, relaxing way to end the day. With advance notice, lunches can be prepared in a box format for you to take with you on excursions. Water served is from their filtered private spring water. Complimentary breakfast juices and complimentary iced tea is served at lunch.
