Thermal Hot Springs

Costa Rica has a high concentration of volcanos, both active and dormant. Fascinating to view and visit, they are more than just a dramatic focal point. Geologically active areas provide thermal hot springs perfect for soaking and relaxation.

When visiting the Arenal region, this is a highlight not to be missed! Most hot springs have multiple pools set within lush, tropical vegetation. Some resorts have springs located on site, with unlimited entry for hotel guests. For those staying elsewhere, the purchase of daily entrance passes serves as an affordable alternative.

Because the sun sets early in the tropics, it is difficult to find outdoor, evening activities in Costa Rica. This is the perfect sequel to the myriad of active daylight adventures-especially those resulting in sore muscles!

Arenal has exploded with hot springs choices: quiet and exclusive, high-end with spa services, party atmosphere with swim up bars and loud music, natural and rustic or some with a combination of these. We can help you find the right hot spring to ensure an unforgettable experience!
