Naranjo Rafting

The Naranjo river is located near Manuel Antonio National Park. For those staying in Quepos, this is a convenient rafting location. For those in Jaco, it requires an additional drive of 1-1.5 hours to meet at the rafting office prior to the start of the tour.

The Naranjo showcases a broad diversity of landscape. Starting in rainforest, it continues to flow through tropical lowlands with palm platations and scenic farmland.

Most choose the tour with a minimum age of 8 and class III and IV rapids spanning over 6 miles of river. This half day tour is shorter and less intense than others in the country.

For hard core rafters, class IV+ is available on the Chorro section of the river. Set within a 3 mile long canyon, the tour packs in 12 narrows. The two mile stretch of rafting gives non-stop thrill as you manuever past huge boulders between the rock walls of the gorge with steep drops and narrow chutes.
