Amenities
Hot Springs

Tabacon is certainly one of the largest hot springs in the Arenal area. It holds universal appeal featuring a swim up bar with music and party atmosphere, an upscale spa with a wide array of treatments, quiet and secluded pools set within winding tropical gardens, a buffet restaurant, and the greatest variety of thermal hot springs pools -- all in one location. Tabacon has many pools with views of the volcano, so you can soak in warm, thermal waters sipping a tropical drink and watch the volcano erupt.

Grand Spa

The Grand Spa at Tabacon features open-air bungalows. Single or couple treatments are available with many hydrotherapy options. A three unit Temazcal is led by a shaman trained expert with two daily sessions available. From traditional body massages to exfoliations with coffee or coconut and wraps using local volcanic mud, choices are plentiful. Tabacon also offers Ayurvedic treatments such as Shirodhara or outdoor Watsu underwater massages. The Grand Spa has long been recognized as a leading spa of the World.

Gardens

The gardens within Tabacon Hot Springs are well worth mention. Pathways and bridges wind through tropical plants set amidst warm water thermal pools. There is a delightful blend of manicured design with hidden intimate treasures. Picturesque settings abound. Star of Africa, Lantana, Shrimp plants and other exotic plants dot the landscape. There are also trails on the property, if you wish to explore the surrounding rainforest.

Restaurants

Ave del Paraiso is a large buffet style restaurant located within the hot springs offering a large assortment of items to suit many palettes. Los Tucanes Restaurant is located within the grounds of the hotel near to a large hot springs pool and jacuzzi. Buffet breakfasts are excellent, served poolside with a view of the volcano. This restaurant also provides fine dining in the evening. Room service and private dining options are also available. Ayurvedic and Tandoor cuisine is available as healthier options.

Bars

The Arenal wet bar is ideally located at the end of a large pool near the main entry. There is a festive atmosphere with party music, volleyball net and waterslide. The Cana Brava lobby bar has a more traditional environment and near to the restaurant buffet. There is also a small, thatched bar at the far end of the hot springs where you can order refreshments, then sit in nearby hot springs pools.
